5Gang presentation of results - live & virtual
At the end of the 5Gang project, our presentation of the results took place on November 3, 2020, partly in public. The response was very positive and we would therefore like to publish our results here. The presentations that were presented can be viewed again online at any time in the recording and the slides can be downloaded.

5Gang Focal points and goals of Schildknecht AG
As an industrial market leader in the field of radio technology, our aim is to integrate new radio standards such as Bluetooth 5.0, radio mesh networks and 5G mobile radio into gateways and thus implement them for industrial applications. The real-time capability requirements for radio systems are being reviewed in order to make future technologies based on 5G more reliable and faster. To this end, business models based on new technologies are being validated in order to derive new products and services for automation technology.
The 5Gang project will run for three years; the project is scheduled to start in March 2017 and be completed in February 2020. The project volume amounts to 5.17 million euros and is 66% funded by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research). Schildknecht AG is the only SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) to play an important role in the German SME sector.
